Course Duration
- Basic First Aid: 4 to 8 hours (1 day)
- Standard/Comprehensive First Aid with CPR: 1 to 2 days (8–16 hours)
- Advanced First Aid: 3 to 5 days (24–40+ hours)
Course Objectives
- Assess emergency situations and ensure safety.
- Provide appropriate First Aid for common injuries and illnesses.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use an AED.
- Manage shock, bleeding, and unconsciousness.
- Communicate effectively with emergency services.
Entry Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Basic understanding of English for comprehension and participation
- Physical Ability: Capability to perform CPR and practical skills on the floor
- No prior medical knowledge is required for most basic First Aid courses.

Module 1: Introduction to First Aid
- Definition and principles of First Aid
- Legal considerations (duty of care, consent)
- Personal safety and PPE
Module 2: Emergency Scene Management
- DRSABCD Action Plan (Danger, Response, Send for help, Airway, Breathing, CPR, Defibrillation)
- Assessing casualties
Module 3: Basic Life Support
- CPR (adults, children, infants)
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use
- Fainting
- Recovery position
Module 4: First Aid for Common Injuries
- Cuts, bruises, burns, sprains, and fractures
- Choking and airway obstruction
- Poisoning and bites/stings
- Head, neck, and spinal injuries
Module 5: First Aid for Medical Conditions
- Asthma and anaphylaxis
- Seizures and epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Heart attack and stroke
- Shock
